Established in 2004, OLIVER is the world’s first and only specialist in designing, building, and running bespoke in-house agencies and marketing ecosystems for brands. We partner with over 300 clients in 40+ countries. Our model drives creativity and efficiency, allowing us to deliver tailored solutions that resonate with audiences. As part of The Brandtech Group, we leverage AI technology to revolutionise how we create and deliver work, enhancing efficiency, sparking creativity, and driving insightful decision-making.

About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Technical Delivery Manager to own and drive the delivery of all technology and pipeline projects for our key automotive accounts. This is a pivotal, client-facing role that will oversee the entire lifecycle of our technical initiatives—from advanced CGI delivery pipelines and pioneering AI R&D projects to the development of innovative new content concepts. You will be the central hub, working with Design Directors, the Head of CGI, and Pipeline Developers to translate creative ambition and client needs into tangible, efficient, and scalable solutions. As a leader within the production team, you will manage and mentor Senior Project Managers, ensuring the highest standards of project governance are maintained while continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve our processes.

What you will be doing:

  • Programme & Pipeline Delivery: Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of all technology-focused projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Strategic Oversight: Oversee the strategic roadmap and successful execution of our CGI production pipelines for both stills and animations, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and capable of meeting evolving client demands.
  • Innovation & R&D: Champion and manage the delivery of R&D initiatives, particularly in AI, machine learning, and real-time technologies, to keep our agency at the forefront of the industry.
  • Client Management: Serve as a primary technical point of contact for clients. Interpret client requirements, provide strategic counsel, and communicate project scope, potential timescales, risks, and priorities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the Head of CGI, Design Directors, and Pipeline Developers, to define project goals, allocate resources, and ensure alignment across all disciplines.
  • Team Leadership: Line manage, mentor, and develop a team of Senior Project Managers. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring best practices in project management are upheld.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate project management and production methodologies. Propose, plan, and implement process changes that increase efficiency, enhance quality, and drive profitability across the account.
  • Reporting & Governance: Establish and maintain clear reporting structures, providing regular updates to senior leadership and clients on programme status, risks, and milestones.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Proven experience as a Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager, successfully delivering complex, technology-driven projects within a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Strong leadership and line management skills, with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing project management teams.
  • Exceptional client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A strategic mindset with a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements that deliver tangible efficiency gains.
  • Thorough understanding of various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and the ability to apply the right approach for the project.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities simultaneously.

Desirable (Highly Beneficial):

  • Direct experience working within a CGI studio, VFX house, or a similar creative production environment.
  • Hands-on experience with the implementation, management, or development of CGI pipelines (e.g., for Maya, 3ds Max, Nuke, Houdini).
  • Familiarity with production management tools such as ShotGrid (formerly Shotgun), Ftrack, or Jira.
  • A genuine passion for and knowledge of the automotive industry and automotive visualisation.
  • Experience with projects involving emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, or real-time engines (Unreal Engine, Unity) within a creative context.

Our values shape everything we do: Be imaginative to push the boundaries of what’s possible; Be always learning and listening to understand; Be actively pro-inclusive and anti-racist across our community, clients and creations.
