About the role

Working in partnership with the Foods Content, Media and Commerce (C MC) team, the Social Media Manager (midweight level) will take ownership and be the driving force behind Pot Noodle across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X, alongside supporting paid execution across an exciting new brand launching into the UK. You’ll play a key role in supporting new product launches and developing and growing the communities of our brands through impactful "social first" content and community management to meet key brand objectives.

What you will be doing

  • Execute the UK social media strategy for Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging platforms as required for Pot Noodle.
  • Own the development of the day‑to‑day content calendar with an emphasis on strategic forward planning to ensure content is prepped and scheduled quarterly.
  • Run weekly connects with brand managers to keep up to date with upcoming marketing activities and campaigns, ensuring the content calendar reflects the latest developments.
  • Brief internal content creators, designers, external agencies, and influencers to create channel content; roll up sleeves to edit footage into engaging Reels when needed.
  • Manage daily community engagement, responding to comments, DMs and tagged content while scouting UGC, gifting opportunities, and content inspiration.
  • Seek out and champion social partnerships and giveaways with like‑minded brands, flagging opportunities to brand managers and managing partner relationships.
  • Contribute to influencer plans and opportunities from the influencer agency of choice, offering suggestions based on social expertise and community insights.
  • Maintain reporting dashboards for brands each month, delivering ad‑hoc snapshot reports highlighting key performance metrics, rich insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Work with the Customer Care team and Corporate Comms to identify the type and magnitude of social crises and highlight considerations for strategic responses.
  • Provide brand managers with up‑to‑date social‑listening data from native in‑app scrolling and trend dashboards, and collaborate with a data analyst to execute data‑driven ideas.
  • Access OLIVER’s wider social team knowledge sharing and advice, and connect with global social counterparts monthly.

What you need to be great in this role

  • 3‑4 years of experience directly managing social media channels.
  • A passion for memes, food, and all things social media.
  • Expertise in managing multiple stakeholders and prioritising tasks with strong time‑management skills.
  • Highly organised, ambitious, and detail‑focused.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and adept at managing approvals.
  • Native video‑editing skills for Instagram Reels, TikTok or tools like CapCut, InShot, etc.
  • Experience with social media publishing and analytics through native platforms.
