About the role:

Working in partnership with our client, we are seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Social & Community Manager to grow, engage, and support our online audience while amplifying our iconic whisky brands. You’ll be the digital voice of the brand—managing day-to-day interactions across social media platforms, fostering genuine relationships with our community, and advocating for our brand across digital channels. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced digital environments, has a passion for sports like football and F1, understands internet culture, and embodies the brand’s personality.

What you will be doing:

  • Audience Engagement: Actively manage conversations across social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc.). Respond to comments, DMs, tags, and mentions in a timely and on-brand voice. Engage with creators, audiences, and partners, including user-generated content (UGC) management.
  • Community Growth & Activation: Plan and execute initiatives that grow and activate the community (e.g., challenges, Q&As, giveaways, AMAs, user-generated content campaigns). Identify and engage with superfans, creators, influencers, or ambassadors. Monitor community sentiment and social trends to inform strategies and internal escalations. Act as the internal advocate for the audience—bringing insights to marketing teams. Use insights to refine content plans and monitor KPIs. Work closely with social, content, and creative teams to shape platform strategy and ensure community-first thinking. Collaborate in content creation; supply assets and strategic social recommendations.
  • Copywriting Skills: Short (posts across all channels) + Long form (Blog, product, recipe and campaign pages). Confident in interpreting a brand’s TOV and keeping copy fresh and engaging. Close collaboration with SEO partner and writing with SEO in mind.
  • Reporting: Track engagement metrics (comments, DMs, sentiment, follower growth) and community health. Report insights to help optimize future strategies.

You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Excellent written communication skills with a confident and adaptable tone of voice.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms and internet culture.
  • Experience with community platforms and social listening tools is a plus.
  • A passion for sports, digital creativity, and editorial marketing.
  • Global cultural fluency, you’ll understand how content needs to flex across regions, and be comfortable supporting local market rollouts that respect local tone and trends.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with B2C brands, with a preference for premium or lifestyle brands.

Our values shape everything we do: Be Imaginative to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Be always learning and listening to understand. Be actively pro-inclusive and anti-racist across our community, clients and creations.
