About the role:
We’re looking for a strategy director to join our team for one of our largest Global Beauty clients, delivering innovative and progressive work with Gen AI at its heart.
Our current strategy leader is shortly departing on maternity leave, so we need a global strategy director to join our team as maternity cover. We\’re looking for someone with deep beauty expertise across diverse markets, a social and culture first approach to developing strategy, and hands on experience of using Gen AI to guide and shape creative work.
This role will be responsible for guiding and directing the strategic work done in the AI Studios we are building, helping to scale up and further develop these Studios, as well as leading social strategy across a number of brands. You’ll also be mentoring a team of social strategists across the world.
This is a senior role, working with our senior team and senior client stakeholders.
What you will be doing:
- Hands on leadership and mentoring of our AI Studio strategy team
- Ensuring strategy and outputs are top class
- Developing and sharing best practice across the teams and with clients
- Working with senior clients to ensure our AI Studio is integrating seamlessly with other agency partners and to optimize strategic ways of working
- Championing a \’culture that converts\’ strategic approach for our client\’s brands
- Hands on strategic leadership of big social strategy projects
- Fostering an environment of identifying and sharing audience and cultural insights across social, strategy and creative teams
- Thought leadership in the client\’s industry
- Ensuring strategy, social and creative teams are up to date with the latest trends on social
- Supporting the development and scale up of new AI Studios
- You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues
What you need to be great in this role:
- Deep and recent experience and expertise of working with beauty brands across global markets – particularly in terms of how brands behave in social channels
- Ability to work in close partnership with creative teams and creative directors to turn the latest relevant cultural trends into actionable creative inspiration
- Hands on experience of using AI tools for strategy development, and a good appreciation of the current capabilities and strengths of different creative Gen AI tools
- Ability to build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Experience in managing other strategists
- Total team player with can do attitude
- You can be the change – you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role
