Oliver Smith Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-known property group based in Glasgow. The successful applicant will work within a team of 20 and be involved with most aspects of the Group’s finance function. As the role holder gains experience and knowledge, they will assist in the preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements. The role offers a wide range of accounting experience in a friendly and professional environment with clear career progression and study support for the right person. The successful candidate will likely be looking to grow into an accounting role and will want to learn and develop their accounting knowledge and experience whilst working.
Duties:
- Prepare management accounts, including reconciliations of all key account balances
- Agree and execute payment runs on clients’ behalf using a variety of online banking platforms
- Prepare VAT returns
- Prepare year-end financial statements
- Carrying out ad hoc tasks such as preparing cash flows, budgets and information for third parties
- Maintain relationships with clients and taking ownership of projects and tasks as appropriate
- Process work on Xero and other accounting software
- Monitor budgets and reporting to managers
