Finance Officer

Salary from £28,136 – £32562

Erskine

Hours – 8.30 – 4.30 (fully office based)

Permanent Role

Oliver Smith Recruitment are working in partnership with a well established charity in Erskine to hire a Finance Officer on a permanent basis.

The main purpose of this role is to record and control all the information in respect of residents finances including the monthly collection of care fees, amounting to over 1m per month, be responsible for reconciling council self-billing payment schedules, to be able to work within tight and inflexible deadlines and also be responsible for the collection of rents and services charges.

Roles/ Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the care fees

• Perform monthly reconciliation of council self-billing schedule to ensure that our client is paid correctly

• Full allocation and management of council bulk receipts

• Manage and perform monthly credit control for all Councils

• Process, check and chase up all contracts, DWP benefits information and residents finance information

• Assisting with processing of receipts and payments from sources of BACS on the resident's banking bank statement, cash or cheque receipts and debit/credit card receipts

• Manage the monthly collection of care fees direct debits – process and authorise the BACS files

• Process, check and chase up all contracts, DWP benefits information and residents finance information

• Precise monthly planning and organisation is essential

• Management of the monthly collection of care fees direct debits – process and authorise the BACS files

• Finalise all. deceased accounts in a timely and sympathetic manner, interacting with resident's families when required

• General administration duties as required
