A fast-growing UK transport organisation is seeking a Head of Commercial Services to drive strategic growth beyond its core offering. Oliver Sanderson is supporting this organisation to appoint a commercial innovator who can spot opportunities, build relationships with commissioners and councils, shape winning bids, and lead the mobilisation of new services across the UK.
Areas of focus:
- Develop and launch new services across transportation services with local and national authorities.
- Identify tenders and opportunities, creating commercially sound business cases.
- Lead client engagement and early-stage negotiations.
- Shape pricing models aligned to growth and EBITDA targets.
- Work with Operations, Finance, Quality and Clinical teams to deliver compliant, high-performing services.
- Support acquisition assessments and commercial due diligence.
- Drive smooth mobilisation and transition of new contracts.
Skills & Experience:
- Commercial or operational leadership within SEND transport, community transport, healthcare transport, medical courier, telecare, logistics or other regulated service environments.
- Experience with bids, tenders, pricing, contract mobilisation and service development.
- Strong stakeholder management, with credibility engaging NHS commissioners, councils, and community partners.
- Experience building business cases, pricing models, and commercial frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and travel nationally as needed.
