Job Title: Van Driver Location: Lichfield Salary: £12.60 per hour (minimum of 40 hours per week but could be up to 50+ hours) We are recruiting for Temporary to Permanent Van Drivers in Lichfield. Are you experienced in home delivery? We want to hear from you! What can our clients offer you? Full-time positions on a temporary to permanent basis – you will be taken on after your successful 12 week temporary period. Brand new, modern vehicles to travel around and complete your drops. Organised fleet to ensure your drops are as smooth as possible. Training to ensure you are up to date on customer service expectations. If you are a driver who enjoys long and short-distance delivery driving, we would love to hear from you! Job Duties Delivering to room of choice. Package removals and assembly. Lifting and loading safely avoiding the products touching the ground. Two person delivery -delivering with another driver so that you can take it in turns. Driving company vehicle in safe manner – reporting any defects to management immediately. Keeping regular contact with the transport office. Delivering excellent customer service to customers. Taking care within customer properties. Using hand and power tools where required. Completing paperwork and ensuring all documents are returned to the office. Loading vehicles with your mate ready for delivery. Following pre planned routes and advising on any traffic information to customer. Requirements Valid UK driving licence. 2 years van driving experience. Physically fit, the role requires manual handling. No more than 6 points on the licence, no IN, DR, DDs. Valid driver\’s license with a clean driving record. Over 25 due to insurance purposes.
