We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Team Leader to join a well‑established manufacturing business within the pressings industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader with a strong background in pressings who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment and is passionate about driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage a production team to achieve daily production targets.
- Supervise day‑to‑day operations within the press shop.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
- Carry out hourly production and quality checks.
- Monitor and manage work in progress (WIP) to maintain production flow.
- Ensure job cards are completed accurately and production documentation is maintained.
- Allocate workloads and monitor operator performance.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions where required.
- Report production performance, downtime, quality issues, and KPI information to management.
- Maintain high housekeeping and health & safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
Requirements
- Previous experience within the pressings industry is essential.
