Location: Stourbridge (Must be able to drive or live local due to start times)

Hours: 06:00 - 15:00 Monday to Friday

Optional Overtime: Saturday & Sunday daytime

Pay Rate: £10 - £12.71 per hour

Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

The Role

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who wants to learn and develop within the world of metrology. You'll gain hands-on experience with advanced measurement technologies while supporting engineering and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with dimensional inspections using metrology equipment such as 3D scanners, ZEISS Inspect software, and handheld tools
  • Support scanning processes, including data capture, processing, and alignment
  • Learn how to analyse scan data and compare it against CAD models and technical drawings
  • Help produce clear and accurate inspection reports
  • Work alongside engineering and quality teams to identify issues and support root cause analysis
  • Assist with maintaining and calibrating metrology equipment (under supervision)
  • Follow company quality standards, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Take part in ongoing training and development to build your technical skillset

What We’re Looking For

  • A solid foundation in mathematics from school or college
  • A strong willingness to learn new technologies and software
  • High attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
  • Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to read technical drawings is beneficial, but not essential
