Job Title: Foundry Operative (Sand Lab)
Location: Stourbridge
Pay Rates: £12.71 - £14.00 per hour basic up to £21 per hour premium overtime
Shift Patterns: 07:00 - 17:00 Overtime paid after 40 hours

What You’ll Be Doing
- Monitor and maintain the quality and consistency of foundry moulding sand.
- Prepare, mix and condition sand to the required specifications.
- Test sand for moisture, strength, permeability, temperature and other key properties.
- Take regular sand samples and carry out routine laboratory/testing procedures.
- Adjust sand mixtures by adding materials such as bentonite, additives and water as required.
- Monitor sand reclamation and ensure reclaimed sand is suitable for reuse.
- Identify and report any issues with sand quality or consistency.
- Maintain accurate records of sand tests, results and material additions.
- Work closely with the foundry production and quality teams to resolve sand-related issues.
Qualification/experience
- Previous Foundry, Casting or Manufacturing experience.
- Must have a good level of Mathematics as you will need to be number savvy for this role.
- Quality control experience is preferred.
