Established in 2004, OLIVER is the world’s first and only specialist in designing, building, and running bespoke in-house agencies and marketing ecosystems for brands. We partner with over 300 clients in 40+ countries and counting. Our unique model drives creativity and efficiency, allowing us to deliver tailored solutions that resonate deeply with audiences. As a part of The Brandtech Group, we’re at the forefront of leveraging cutting‑edge AI technology to revolutionise how we create and deliver work.

About the role: In this part‑time 7 month FTC as Social Creative on our brand new haircare client, you’ll develop and produce platform‑native content and conceptual ideas for our client’s Instagram and TikTok channels. You’ll work independently on day‑to‑day delivery and use sound judgement on which ideas, trends and reactive moments are right for the brand. You’ll partner with strategists, designers, editors, creators, influencer teams, and account and brand teams to turn briefs and cultural opportunities into content people want to watch, share and talk about.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop social‑first creative ideas for always‑on content, campaigns, product launches, retail moments and reactive opportunities, turning brand briefs, product messages and audience insights into entertaining concepts.
  • Build repeatable content formats and social series that audiences recognise and return to, ensuring ideas feel native to each platform rather than adapted from traditional advertising.
  • Bring client’s sunny, playful personality to life without relying on stereotypes.
  • Stay connected to UK beauty, haircare, entertainment and internet culture.
  • Identify relevant trends, memes, sounds, creators and conversations, and share regular creative inspiration and cultural insights with the wider team.
  • Decide when a trend is right for the brand and when to sit it out, responding quickly to the right cultural moments with distinctive ideas.
  • Create, capture and edit short‑form content for Instagram and TikTok using mobile and lightweight production tools.
  • Write captions, scripts, hooks, headlines and on‑screen copy in client’s tone of voice, with copy variations for testing.
  • Keep content clear, entertaining, accessible, accurate and aligned with product claims and approvals.
  • Work with influencer and creator teams to develop creator‑led ideas and clear briefs that leave room for authentic expression.
  • Give practical, constructive feedback on creator concepts and content, and identify emerging UK haircare, beauty and lifestyle creators.
  • Use audience comments, questions and behaviours to inspire new content and quick‑turnaround responses, applying strong judgement on cultural sensitivity, reputational risk and brand relevance.
  • Review performance data (views, watch time, retention, engagement, saves and shares) to decide what to scale, refine, test or stop.
  • Run creative tests on hooks, formats, pacing, audio, captions and calls to action, and apply learnings to future work.
  • Collaborate with social strategists, the Social Media Manager, designers, editors, production teams, data and insights teams, and account and brand teams on priorities, approvals and timelines.
  • Balance creative instinct with evidence, brand priorities and commercial objectives.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Experience creating social‑first content for brands, particularly on Instagram and TikTok, shown through a portfolio of strong ideas and short‑form content.
  • Experience working with consumer brands. Haircare, beauty or FMCG experience is especially valuable.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Instagram and TikTok, including native features, trends, sounds and formats, and what drives attention, retention, engagement, saves and shares.
  • A strong understanding of UK culture, internet behaviour and social communities, with a genuine interest in haircare, beauty and the trends shaping the category.
  • The judgement to separate meaningful cultural opportunities from short‑lived or unsuitable trends, with awareness of cultural sensitivity, brand safety and reputational risk.
  • Excellent copywriting and social scripting skills, and the ability to turn ideas quickly into executable concepts using hooks, pacing, audio and visual storytelling.
  • Confidence capturing content on a mobile device and editing short‑form video in tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent.
  • Confidence working at pace, balancing planned deliverables with reactive opportunities across short timelines and multiple stakeholders, and managing your time within a 50% working pattern.
  • Strong attention to detail across copy, visuals and brand execution.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach. You receive feedback constructively, give clear creative recommendations, and present concepts and the thinking behind them.
  • Comfort creating at both high and low production values, and a test‑and‑learn mindset that turns results into practical creative improvements.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Basic design or motion skills.
  • Proficiency with Gen AI tools for idea generation, copy variations, storyboarding and planning, to improve output quality and efficiency.
  • Experience building and refining personal AI workflows, and sharing what works with the team.
  • An agentic approach to concept development and problem‑solving, breaking complex challenges into clear, manageable steps.
  • The ability to critically evaluate AI outputs and apply human judgement, protecting originality, cultural insight and brand voice, with awareness of responsible, accurate and brand‑safe AI use.
