As a part of The Brandtech Group, we’re at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge AI technology to revolutionise how we create and deliver work.

This is an opportunity to join OLIVER’s brand new in-house studio embedded with a leading haircare brand, as a Content Creator delivering credible, platform-native haircare content for UK Instagram and TikTok. Based in London with occasional travel to Weybridge, you’ll take ideas from brief to publish-ready content for a range of hair types, textures and concerns, especially curly, frizz-prone and dry hair. Your craft will set the quality bar for how the brand shows up for every hair community in the UK and across EMEA.

THE ROLE

You’ll be at the centre of social content creation for the brand in the UK. You’ll work from briefs, insights and trends, shape formats and series that audiences return to, and use performance data to improve each round of output. A key part of the role is creating credible, engaging content for different hair types, textures and concerns, including routines, styling techniques, product demonstrations and education for curly, frizz-prone and dry hair. You’ll work independently, collaborate closely with creative, social, strategy, data and brand colleagues, and share your craft and AI-assisted workflows with others. This is an individual contributor role with no line management.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Create high-quality, on-brand content for UK Instagram and TikTok channels, including short-form video, Reels, TikToks, static and carousel assets, motion, Stories, reactive posts, tutorials and creator-style content.
  • Create credible, accessible and useful content for a range of hair types, textures and concerns, with particular emphasis on curly, frizz-prone and dry hair.
  • Produce haircare routines, styling tutorials, product demonstrations and educational content that accurately reflect the needs and experiences of people with curly, frizz-prone and dry hair, consistent with approved product claims.
  • Take content from concept through planning, shooting, editing and finishing, so every asset is platform-native, optimised for mobile and ready to publish.
  • Turn briefs, insights and trends into clear social concepts and pitch them to the Creative Director and wider team.
  • Write and refine hooks, scripts, captions, on-screen copy, calls to action, storyboards and shot lists.
  • Build repeatable formats, recurring series and modular systems (templates, variants, cut-downs and alternate hooks) that can be repurposed across organic and paid social for different hair types and needs.
  • Represent different hair types, curl patterns, textures, identities and experiences thoughtfully, so content feels authentic, inclusive, relatable and useful to a broad UK audience.
  • Plan and run agile shoots, from phone-shot content to structured productions, directing talent, creators and hairstylists with different hair types and textures, and working with lighting, sound, props and locations.
  • Edit social-first video with a strong grasp of hooks, pacing, retention, audio, subtitles and on-screen text, meeting brand, legal, accessibility and platform requirements.
  • Work with social and data teams to track performance and decide which hooks, formats and edits to repeat, develop, optimise or stop, including which hair topics and needs resonate most.
  • Respond quickly to trends and reactive opportunities while protecting creative quality.
  • Partner with the Social Media Manager, strategists, designers, producers, influencer teams and brand stakeholders to keep content aligned, approved and delivered on time.
  • Share good practice, including haircare content techniques, editing approaches and AI-assisted workflows.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A strong portfolio of social-first video and static content, with professional experience creating for TikTok and Instagram.
  • Professional experience creating haircare content focused on curly, frizz-prone and dry hair, including styling routines, product demonstrations, tutorials and educational content.

  • A strong practical understanding of curly, frizz-prone and dry hair, including curl patterns, textures, moisture needs, styling techniques and common concerns.
  • Experience directing talent, creators or hairstylists with different hair types and textures, and an inclusive approach to representing different curl patterns, identities and experiences.
  • Expert-level skills in creative concepting, shooting, editing, copywriting and social storytelling, with experience turning briefs into publish-ready work within brand guidelines and approvals.
  • Experience creating content for consumer brands. Haircare or beauty experience is strongly preferred, and FMCG is beneficial.
  • A genuine interest in haircare, beauty, styling and creator culture, an understanding of UK culture, humour and social behaviour, and good judgement about which trends fit the brand.
  • A strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram best practice, including what drives watch time, retention, saves and shares, and the ability to tailor ideas to each platform.
  • Proficiency in tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Canva and Figma, plus strong mobile shooting and editing skills with a good eye for composition, lighting, colour and typography.
  • Basic photography, motion design or animation skills are beneficial.

  • Strong attention to detail, file management and asset organisation, a solutions-focused approach to production challenges, and the ability to manage several projects at once and estimate what is achievable.

Gen AI & Agentic Thinking

  • Advanced use of Gen AI tools to enhance creative output and efficiency across ideation, scripting, storyboarding, versioning and post-production, including content tailored to different hair types and needs.
