Thank you for taking the time to read about this newly created Studio operations co‑ordinator role with WOO architects. Are you organised, proactive and comfortable juggling different priorities? Do you enjoy being at the heart of a busy, creative business? Do you like getting involved in the “nuts and bolts” of how a business runs? Are you looking for a role where you can grow, develop and wear lots of hats? If you’re reading this thinking yes, yes and yes, read on.

WOO architects are looking to bring a Studio operations co‑ordinator into the team to support the continued growth of the practice. Over the last year, the leadership team has strengthened and streamlined the operational side of the business. This role is now being created to provide a reliable, hands‑on presence in the day‑to‑day running of the studio, freeing up senior leaders to focus on driving the business forward. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build a long‑term career within a creative, international organisation and take real ownership of their role. You don’t need to “tick every box” from day one. What matters most is attitude, curiosity and a genuine desire to get involved.

About WOO architects: WOO architects work on some of the world’s most exciting sports and cultural projects, creating spaces where history is made. From the London 2012 Olympics to Paris 2024, major global tournaments and landmark cultural projects, WOO has built a reputation as one of the leading studios in major event and venue design. With studios in London and Los Angeles, the practice combines creativity, technical excellence and real‑world delivery to produce work that leaves a lasting legacy.

The role: With this being a new role, we’re not 100% set on the title. If you see it under a few titles, it’s one role, so please only apply once! In this role, you’ll be at the centre of the studio’s operations. This is a broad, evolving role where no two days are the same and where you’ll have the chance to shape how things are done. You’ll support across operations, finance, people processes, marketing coordination and general office management, working closely with Jane and the wider leadership team. Rather than being a tightly defined role, this is an opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to grow with the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting day‑to‑day bookkeeping and financial administration
  • Processing invoices and expenses using accounting software
  • Helping monitor holidays, absence and basic HR processes
  • Supporting administration for the US studio team
  • Assisting with updating policies and handbooks
  • Coordinating meetings, travel and diaries
  • Supporting marketing, events and business development activity
  • Helping manage systems, suppliers and subscriptions
  • Keeping the office organised, welcoming and running smoothly

Over time, there will be real scope to take on more responsibility as you grow in the role. You’ll fit well in this role if you:

  • Have experience in an office, administrative or operations‑based role
  • Are comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets and systems
  • Are confident communicating both in writing and in person
  • Enjoy learning new skills and taking ownership of your work
  • Are organised, reliable and detail‑focused
  • Are happy working in a fast‑paced, changing environment
  • Like the idea of wearing multiple hats across finance, operations and coordination
  • Are motivated to build a long‑term career rather than “just a job”

Experience in accounting software, HR administration or creative industries is helpful but not essential, as training and support will be provided.

Why join WOO?

  • A genuinely varied and interesting role
  • Exposure to world‑class projects and clients
  • The chance to grow with an international practice
  • A supportive, collaborative team environment
  • Real responsibility and development opportunities

This role would suit someone who has built solid experience in an office environment and is now looking for their next step, or someone earlier in their career who is ambitious, quick to learn and ready to take on more.

Next steps: The first stage of the process will be a short Teams conversation of around 15 minutes, following initial application questions. Oliver King Consulting Limited is supporting WOO architects with this recruitment. As a result, CVs submitted via recruitment agencies will not be considered.
