We are partnering with a globally recognised enterprise organisation undergoing significant investment in cloud, platform engineering, and cybersecurity capabilities. As part of a major transformation programme, we are seeking an experienced DevOps / SecOps Lead to take ownership of secure deployment practices and lead delivery across complex environments. This is a high-impact role suited to a senior engineer who combines deep DevOps expertise with strong security engineering knowledge.
The Role
You will lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of secure engineering and DevSecOps practices across cloud and hybrid infrastructure. This position blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic influence, ensuring secure-by-design principles are embedded throughout delivery pipelines and platform services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead secure deployment, release governance and DevSecOps adoption
- Design and implement enterprise-grade security controls across CI/CD pipelines
- Oversee delivery of security-focused engineering initiatives
- Drive improvements in secrets management and vault technologies
- Collaborate with platform, cloud, and engineering teams to close control gaps
- Establish reusable security patterns, frameworks and reference architectures
- Build and support new environments, proofs of concept and pilots
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a small engineering team
- Influence architectural decisions across cloud and on-prem ecosystems
- Produce clear technical documentation and knowledge transfers
Required Experience
- Strong background in DevOps, DevSecOps or SecOps leadership roles
- Expertise in CI/CD security, automation, and release engineering
- Deep understanding of IAM, secrets management and key management
- Hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault or similar vault technologies
- Experience securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Proven ability to lead delivery in complex enterprise environments
- Strong stakeholder communication and cross-team collaboration skills
