A leading London Market Insurance business based in the UK is looking to hire a Cyber Security Project Manager who has experience within the Insurance or financial services sector to drive forward a new Cyber Security project through to delivery. This role will focus on Vulnerability Management & Assessment, and Remediation Processes within the project, and you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery ensuring its success.

The client is working from both a waterfall and Agile perspective and requires the candidate to be experienced in not only Cyber security but also in Secure builds, Configuration Management & Vulnerability Management.

The ideal candidate will need to be a self-starter with strong experience working in Wagile environments and be a seasoned project manager with expertise in Cyber Security, Configuration Management & Vulnerability Management. You should come from either financial services or ideally insurance, and be comfortable working with stakeholders, CISO, and Programme Manager. Familiarity with vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, or similar like Vulcan Cyber is essential. Additionally, you should be familiar with industry frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or ISO27001.

Key Skills:

  • Strong Cyber security Project Management experience (10+ years' experience required)
  • Strong Insurance or wider financial services experience
  • 5+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, and in the domains of Secure Configuration Management, Secure Builds, Vulnerability Management & Assessment, and Remediation Processes - this is a must have
  • Strong Waterfall/Agile experience (Wagile)
  • Experience working with steering committees, demand management, service transition, project plans, Project SteerCo
  • Experience in Vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, or similar like Vulcan Cyber
  • Experience in developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
