Job Description
Oliver James are very excited to be supporting a prestigious Global insurance firm with their search for an Operations Controller to join their private equity arm. This is a unique opportunity to truly make your mark, working primarily within the 1st line of defence. You will be working across teams and speaking directly with clients on a daily basis.
Main responsibilities:
- Report into the Operations Manager.
- Provide 1st line support to the business.
- Onboarding new clients.
- Oversee AML and PEP due diligence checks.
- Interact with the Group Financial Crime team.
- Complaints handling.
- Staying updated on relevant FCA and PRA updates.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience of working in a regulated firm.
- Experience within insurance and Lloyd's is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of consumer duty principles.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the FCA, PRA and CASS would be desirable.
- Knowledge of Worldcheck.
- Able to speak confidently to clients and take initiative.
- Commercially minded.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
