A great opportunity for a Finance Data & Reporting Lead to shape how finance data flows through new general ledger systems and modern data platforms. You'll help redesign data processes, improve reporting, and support the shift toward Databricks and a new UK-based data warehouse.
This role sits between Finance, Data, and Technology, making it ideal for someone with strong data engineering skills and good finance awareness. You will have full autonomy on the transition from manual to automation along with changes within their systems across the financial function.
What you'll do:
- Design and document finance data flows for new GL and data platforms
- Lead on finance data architecture within transformation programmes
- Work with data engineering teams on data models, pipelines, and integrations
- Rebuild legacy Excel/file-based processes for efficiency and control
- Develop essential financial reports and dashboards
- Ensure accuracy and governance of finance data
- Support colleagues in adopting Databricks and modern data tooling
- Identify automation opportunities and improve data quality
- Be the key contact for projects affecting finance data or reporting
What you'll bring:
- Strong experience with financial data, reporting, and data structures
- Understanding of GL systems and finance controls
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines and automation
- Proficiency in SQL and Databricks (or similar platforms)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in finance transformation, financial systems, or data warehouses
- Confident communicator with both finance and technical teams
