Our client is seeking to speak to suitable Senior Enterprise or Solutions Architect candidates to join their world class financial services consulting practice. The team is based predominantly in London - on a hybrid basis - paying £100,000+ excluding bonuses depending on experience. This role focuses on helping Financial Services organisations deliver large-scale technology and business transformation programmes. Working with senior business and technology stakeholders, you will shape technology strategies, define solution roadmaps and lead the delivery of innovative technology solutions. The position combines strategic advisory work with hands‑on solution architecture leadership, helping clients modernise platforms, improve operational efficiency and respond to changing market and customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of end‑to‑end solution architectures and technical designs.
  • Work with business, operations and technology stakeholders to shape transformation programmes.
  • Define technology strategies, roadmaps and investment priorities.
  • Provide technical leadership from discovery and solution design through to implementation.
  • Establish architectural governance, design assurance and quality review processes.
  • Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Develop thought leadership and contribute to the evolution of architecture capabilities.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members.
  • Support business development through bids, proposals, presentations and client engagements.
  • Contribute to the growth of the practice and foster an inclusive, high‑performing culture.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience designing and delivering complex solution architectures within large transformation programmes.
  • Strong technology background covering applications, integration, data and infrastructure architecture.
  • Experience integrating modern technologies with existing enterprise platforms.
  • Knowledge of Wealth Management, Financial Services or similarly complex industries.
  • Understanding of technology delivery lifecycles, including discovery, design, implementation and transition.
  • Experience assessing current technology landscapes and defining target‑state architectures.
  • Ability to provide architectural governance, design assurance and technical oversight.
  • Experience leading teams or workstreams within large‑scale programmes.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence business and technology leaders.
  • Ability to evaluate solution options, build consensus and drive decision‑making.
  • Experience producing architecture artefacts, technical designs and solution documentation.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and their business application.
  • Experience with Wealth Management platforms and vendors.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence and CI/CD toolsets.
  • Knowledge of end‑to‑end Wealth Management technology ecosystems.
  • Aware of emerging industry trends and technologies.
  • Experience with platforms such as FNZ, Avaloq, Bravura or similar solutions.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Exposure to emerging technologies such as Generative AI and Blockchain.
  • Professional certifications in architecture, cloud or delivery methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, Agile, Scrum or SAFe).

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with Wealth Management platforms and vendors.
