Oliver James are seeking an experienced Operational Risk professional to step into the role of Operational Resilience Lead for a leading General Insurer. You will own, develop, and embed the organisation's Operational Resilience framework, driving governance and ensuring regulatory alignment across the business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance the Operational Resilience framework including policies, RACI, methodologies, and documentation.
  • Lead Operational Resilience governance, chair working groups, and manage training.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and third parties, maintaining communication and oversight.
  • Manage PRA/FCA communications and regulatory submissions.
  • Oversee annual review of Important Business Services (IBS) and impact tolerances.
  • Monitor IBS performance and prepare recommendations for senior management.
  • Complete annual resource mapping and lead vulnerability assessments with third parties.
  • Maintain vulnerability and remediation logs, incorporating cyber audit findings.
  • Plan and oversee scenario testing, document results, and coordinate actions.
  • Record and assess live incidents affecting IBS.
  • Deliver the annual self‐assessment and drive continuous improvement of OR maturity.

  • Strong knowledge of UK Operational Resilience regulation (PRA/FCA).
  • Experience managing Operational Resilience frameworks end‐to‐end.
  • Effective stakeholder and third‐party management skills.
  • Experience with IBS, impact tolerances, scenario testing and incident management.
  • Analytical and comfortable handling complex operational data.
  • Strong communication and report‐writing skills.
