This is a unique opportunity to work closely with our progressive and forward-thinking General Counsel, contributing to high-profile corporate and commercial projects that will shape the future of our business. Role Overview: The Legal Counsel will play a critical role in providing expert legal support across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. You will be deeply involved in the company’s international expansion efforts, M&A activities, and other strategic initiatives. This role offers unparalleled exposure to high-stakes legal work and the chance to contribute to the company’s long-term success. Key Responsibilities: Corporate Law: Provide legal guidance on a variety of corporate matters, including company formation, governance, and compliance with international regulations. Commercial Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic goals and mitigate risk. Mergers & Acquisitions: Support the legal aspects of M&A transactions, from due diligence to contract negotiation and post-merger integration, ensuring seamless execution. International Expansion: Advise on the legal implications of entering new markets, including compliance with local laws, regulatory requirements, and risk management. Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with the General Counsel and other senior leaders on high-impact corporate projects that drive growth and innovation. Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate them, ensuring the company’s interests are protected. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including finance, operations, and HR, to provide legal support that aligns with overall business objectives. Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of legal trends and best practices, ensuring that the legal function remains innovative, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the business. Qualifications & Experience: Qualified lawyer with expertise in corporate and commercial law. Proven experience in handling corporate transactions, including M&A. Strong understanding of international law and regulations, with experience supporting global business operations. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and strategic mindset. Experience working in-house is preferred, but not essential.
