Job Description
Graduate Risk Analyst
Oliver James are partnered with a fast-growing and innovative Lloyd's syndicate looking to hire a Graduate Risk Analyst to join their London-based team. This is a special opportunity for a scientifically minded graduate to break into the world of reinsurance – no prior industry experience required. You will help assess complex Global risks including natural catastrophes and climate-related exposures.
Main Responsibilities:

Analyse client submissions and exposure data.

Maintain catastrophe models across risk portfolios.

Research and interpret scientific and market data.

Collaborate across underwriting, actuarial and broking teams.

Deliver clear reports and presentations.
Key Requirements:
- A degree in Geography, Geophysics, Climatology, Oceanography, or similar.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Excel with knowledge of Python or GIS a plus.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Prior exposure to catastrophe modelling, climate science, or risk analysis is beneficial.
