Job Description
This role is to assist with the wider finance function with ongoing finance change and transformation work, supporting the business with a new general ledger implementation, financial controls design and implementation supporting change to the accounting process.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in this type of change work and be willing to 'roll their sleeves up' to pick up adhoc tasks as required and offer insight and support to the controls design.
Oliver James is working with an insurance company based in London and the South East of England to source a Finance Change Accountant for their team on a 6-month FTC.
This role is to assist the wider finance function with ongoing finance change and transformation work, supporting the business with a new general ledger implementation, financial controls design and implementation supporting change to the accounting process.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in this type of change work and be willing to 'roll their sleeves up' to pick up adhoc tasks as required and offer insight and support to the controls design and accounting process.
On offer
- £75,000 salary (pro-rata for 6 months)
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays (pro-rata)
- 4.5% standard pension, matched up to 10%
- Hybrid working, 2-3 days per month in office in Kent.
Requirements for an ideal candidate
- Fully qualified accountant holding ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Successful delivery of change projects within former employers
- Effective, clear communication skills.
- Experienced in financial reporting especially in statutory accounts
- Ability to challenge processes and suggest improvements
- Ability to work in an agile and changing environment
