Data Test Analyst

Job Title: Data Test Analyst – Contract – Outside IR35 – London

Location: London (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days WFH)

Contract Rate: C* £600 p/day

Outside IR35

Duration: 6 months with view to extend

About the Role

We are seeking a highly technical Data Test Analyst to join a leading London Market Insurance client on a major data modernisation programme. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity across Snowflake, DBT transformations, and BI dashboards. This is a hands‑on role for someone with strong SQL expertise, a good understanding of data pipelines, and a focus on automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate data flows through Snowflake (Raw → Curated → Confirmed).
• Review and test Data Contracts and DBT transformation logic.
• Run SQL-based data checks and troubleshoot issues end-to-end.
• Test BI dashboards (Tableau/Power BI) to ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, BI teams, and Product Owners.

Experience Required

• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and data profiling.
• Solid experience working with Snowflake.
• Understanding of data pipelines, transformations, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience testing BI dashboards and reports.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to automation in testing (e.g., Python, Great Expectations).
• Experience working with DBT.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Experience within the Insurance sector.
