Oliver James are delighted to once again be partnering with a leading London Market Insurer looking to grow their impressive compliance team. The business operate across both the Lloyds & General insurance market, with an outstanding reputation in their field.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a market leading business as a Compliance Officer in their Assurance/Monitoring team, reporting into the Head of Compliance Monitoring and partnering with the wider compliance function & business. As a business, they pride themselves on promoting from within, providing a progressive culture where the employee can dictate the trajectory of their own career, with no rigid promotion structure in place. The key elements of the role include but aren\’t limited to:
Support the delivery of the Compliance Assurance Plan , including execution of thematic reviews and control testing.
Carry out compliance monitoring activities to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Produce and present findings, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
Liaise with the wider compliance, audit, and business teams to ensure follow-up actions are tracked and completed.
As an individual, the ideal candidate will host:
Strong working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g. FCA, PRA, Lloyd\’s, SMCR, Consumer Duty).
Ability to write clear, structured reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Confident working independently on thematic reviews , testing controls, and tracking actions.
Comfortable engaging with different business areas and building effective relationships.
Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and good organisational skills.
