Overview

In this senior role, you will lead Technology M&A engagements for corporate and private equity clients, shaping technology implications across the deal lifecycle. You’ll drive due diligence, integrations, separations and post-deal programmes, influencing senior stakeholders and growing the Technology M&A proposition. The position blends client delivery, business development and team leadership within a high-growth deals practice. You will shape cross-functional solutions across technology, strategy and transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead major Technology M&A engagements for corporate and PE clients
  • Plan and deliver technology due diligence, integrations, separations and broader transaction programmes
  • Build and manage relationships with C-suite, investors and deal teams
  • Identify and convert opportunities into engagements and revenue
  • Lead development and delivery of client proposals and pitches
  • Provide high-quality, commercially-focused insights on technology and transaction issues
  • Oversee engagement teams to ensure on-time, high-standard delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional specialists across sectors/geographies
  • Develop and enhance Technology M&A propositions, methodologies and services
  • Support growth and strategic direction of the Technology M&A practice
  • Coach and develop junior and senior team members
  • Maintain strong engagement quality, risk management and profitability

Key requirements

  • Significant and recent Technology M&A experience in consulting, professional services, private equity or relevant senior industry environment
  • Strong understanding of the transaction lifecycle and technology's role from due diligence to post-deal integration/separation
  • Experience in buy-side and sell-side technology due diligence
  • Technology integrations, separations and carve-outs
  • Technology operating model design and TSA (Transitional Service Agreement) design/negotiation/implementation
  • Technology cost analysis, synergy identification and value creation
  • Programme management of complex technology transformation programmes
  • Leadership of multiple concurrent M&A engagements and project teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Commercial mindset and business development capability
  • Ability to operate in fast-moving, ambiguous, high-pressure environments
