We’re entering an exciting new phase of our organisational journey. As we separate the Change function from IT, we’re looking for a hands-on, strategic Head of Change & Transformation to take full ownership of our change agenda and lead a growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for that next step in their career!
This is a role where you’ll genuinely shape how we work, deliver meaningful improvements for our members, and influence decisions at the highest level.
The Opportunity
You’ll lead our multi-year transformation roadmap, ensuring our people are ready, supported and equipped to deliver change that enhances member experience. You’ll work directly with the Executive Team, advise on future readiness, and build a high-performing Change Practice that’s curious, innovative and capable of delivering real impact.
You will also be hands-on, driving key programmes yourself, including:
- A core mortgage & savings platform upgrade
- AML and regulatory change
- Non-tech business change (e.g., accountancy system replacement)
- New lending and operational improvement initiatives

What You’ll Do
- Lead the Society’s change strategy and organisational readiness
- Manage and deliver complex, multi-stream programmes
- Coach and grow a Change team (expanding to 5-6 people)
- Improve processes, champion innovation and embed a digital-first mindset
- Advise senior leaders on transformation and operating model evolution
- Drive benefits realisation and ensure change delivers real value
What You’ll Bring
- Experience leading and delivering complex change programmes
- Strong leadership within a regulated or Financial Services environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited resources
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A forward-thinking mindset, with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Relevant certifications (Agile, Lean or PM) are a bonus
