Oliver James are working with a leading Lloyd's market insurer to hire a Senior Data & Reporting Analyst into their Exposure Management team. This is a key hire within a specialist risk function sitting at the intersection of cat modelling, underwriting analytics, and regulatory reporting.
The role sits within a small, highly technical team responsible for how exposure and catastrophe risk data is captured, structured, and reported across multiple syndicates and classes of business.
Key focus areas
- Improving and automating regulatory and exposure reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve consistency
- Enhancing underwriting-facing reporting to support aggregate management and risk appetite monitoring
- Strengthening data capture and quality across multiple lines of business and syndicate portfolios
- Supporting exposure management and catastrophe modelling teams with high-quality, structured data inputs
- Working closely with underwriting, reinsurance, actuarial and risk teams across the business
What we're looking for
- Strong SQL skills (essential) with exposure to R and/or Python advantageous
- Experience in insurance, ideally within Lloyd's, London Market or specialty (re)insurance
- Background in exposure management, cat modelling support, underwriting analytics or regulatory reporting
- Proven experience improving, automating or rebuilding data/reporting processes
- Strong understanding of insurance concepts such as exposure, aggregates and portfolio risk
