We're partnering with a growing organisation investing heavily in its data and analytics capability and seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer to help shape a modern enterprise data platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on building scalable, analytics-ready datasets, semantic models, and trusted KPI frameworks that power reporting, insight generation and data products across the business. You'll work across the full data stack from ingestion and transformation through to curated models and self-service analytics, while helping define best practices in modelling, governance and performance optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain scalable data models and semantic layers
  • Define KPI standards and ensure a single source of truth
  • Support data ingestion and optimise pipelines within Microsoft Fabric / Azure
  • Drive data quality, testing, governance, and performance improvements
  • Translate business requirements into practical, scalable data solutions
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of analytics engineering solutions
  • Mentor analysts and engineers while promoting best practices
  • Leverage AI tools and modern engineering approaches to improve delivery

About You

  • Advanced SQL and strong dimensional modelling experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse/Warehouse and Power BI
  • Strong understanding of semantic modelling, governance and testing
  • Experience delivering end-to-end analytics engineering solutions
  • Knowledge of Agile, Git, CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Python and SparkSQL experience beneficial
