Oliver James is searching for a Finance Graduate / Assistant to join one of our Insurance clients based in London. This role would be ideal for graduates looking to pursue a career in accountancy and insurance, as well as part-qualified accountants with a background in insurance or audit of the insurance industry looking to further grow their career and work toward qualification.

The role primarily will assist with the financial reporting and wider finance department activity, giving a great platform to grow and learn. With this being a junior role and offering great career and learning potential, you would be expected to work primarily within the office with some work from home flexibility. Salary will be dependent on current experience and in-line with market rates. In return, you can expect a robust salary and benefits package above general employment market average, with the chance to learn from highly trained and qualified individuals to set you up for a successful career.

Ideal and preferable experience is as follows:

  • Experience working within finance teams with insurers or insurance audit
  • Progression or exemptions for accountancy exams
  • Degree in accountancy or finance related studies
  • UK/US GAAP reporting experience / knowledge
  • Regulatory reporting experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Lloyd's of London Insurance market
  • Work experience within financial institutions
