An established and growing DB pensions business is seeking a technically strong actuarial professional to focus on the development, testing, and optimisation of member calculation tools. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building and improving models/processes, rather than purely performing calculations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance DB member option calculation tools
- Perform testing, validation, and UAT to ensure accuracy of automated calculations
- Collaborate with pricing, proposition, and operations teams
- Translate calculation requirements into scalable solutions
- Support continuous improvement of systems and data processes
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DB pensions (consultancy or life insurance)
- Strong understanding of DB calculations and actuarial concepts
- Experience or interest in model/tool development
- Part/qualified actuary (or strong non-qualified candidate with relevant experience)
- Strong Excel skills; coding experience advantageous
