We're looking for an Automation Analyst to elevate process efficiency and strengthen controls across Finance. This role will centre on spotting automation opportunities, rapidly building prototypes, and scaling successful solutions to improve reporting, reconciliation, and day‑to‑day operational workflows.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify, collate, and prioritise automation opportunities across Finance processes (e.g., EUC automation, high‑effort manual tasks).
  • Design and implement automated solutions using tools such as Power Automate and Power Query.
  • Build and maintain VBA‑based solutions where appropriate.
  • Apply a structured, systematic approach to problem‑solving and process optimisation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable automation solutions.
  • Embrace a fail‑fast, iterative approach rapidly prototyping, testing, and refining solutions based on feedback.
  • Deliver Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) before scaling to full production‑ready solutions.
  • Embed appropriate governance, controls, and documentation in all solutions, ensuring smooth transition back into BAU teams.

What you’ll need:

  • 4-5 years’ experience in a finance, reporting, or automation‑focused role.
  • Strong understanding of finance terminology and processes (e.g., reconciliations, reporting cycles, controls).
  • Hands‑on experience with: Power Automate, Power Query, Excel‑based automation tools.
  • Working knowledge of VBA or similar scripting languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver work using a structured, methodical approach.
  • Understanding of Snowflake is desirable.
