Oliver Brown is a founder-led menswear business with a loyal following and strong heritage, and very much in growth mode. With three London stores, our Chester boutique, and a new Cambridge location opening in April 2026, this is an exciting time to join the brand. We are building something special: a business rooted in craftsmanship, personal service, and long-term client relationships, with a clear focus on growth and evolution.
As Store Manager of our Sloane Street flagship, you will lead from the front. You will be visible on the floor, deeply connected to the team, and passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences every day. This is not a desk-based management role. You will be actively involved in the daily rhythm of the store, working alongside your team to drive performance, coach development, and maintain the warm, precise, and unmistakably Oliver Brown atmosphere.
You will:
- Lead, coach, and develop the store team to achieve commercial and service excellence.
- Set the tone for client experience, ensuring every interaction feels personal, authentic, and memorable.
- Build a strong team culture rooted in trust, accountability, and pride in craftsmanship.
Our client experience is everything. You will lead by example, demonstrating exceptional service standards and ensuring consistency across every client interaction. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating a welcoming, polished and premium in-store environment.
- Coaching the team to deliver personalized styling and wardrobe‑building advice.
- Staying connected to local clientele, trends, and opportunities to strengthen relationships.
You will take ownership of store performance, using insight and leadership to drive results. Monitor and manage performance and KPI’s against targets and budgets. Translate performance data into clear actions for the team. Identify opportunities to improve multi‑item selling, product focus, and client engagement.
People are at the heart of Oliver Brown. Lead, inspire and mentor your team through coaching, feedback, and clear communication. Create a culture where development, collaboration, and recognition are part of daily life. Support individual growth through structured development conversations. Lead recruitment alongside senior leadership to build a strong and balanced team. Ensure team scheduling reflects trading patterns and delivers excellent client service.
Maintain exceptional standards in store presentation and operational execution. Monitor best sellers, slow movers, and client demand trends. Collaborate with buying and leadership teams by providing product feedback and insights. Ensure operational compliance across stock, processes, and store standards. Maintain strong control of costs and operational efficiency. Support inventory accuracy and stock management processes. Contribute to monthly performance reviews and action planning.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a founder‑led environment. Someone who enjoys pace, ownership, and building something meaningful. You will ideally have:
- Strong experience managing a premium or luxury retail environment.
- A passion for menswear, tailoring, and exceptional client service.
- Proven leadership skills and experience developing high‑performing teams.
- Commercial awareness and confidence working with KPIs and targets.
- A warm, engaging personality and natural leadership presence.
Work directly with the founder and senior leadership. Lead a flagship store at a pivotal moment of growth. Shape client experience and culture within a growing menswear brand. Be part of a team that genuinely believes in what we’re building.
