Interim Policy Specialist, Manchester, 6 months FTC, £30,000 to £35,000 plus excellent benefits. Hybrid, 3 days in the office. Some remote weekend & evening shifts.
As they continue to build on their people-focused culture, they are seeking an Interim Policy Specialist to join their team and provide support and guidance across a broad range of employee relations matters.
As a Policy Specialist, you’ll be a trusted partner to line managers providing expert guidance that balances business needs with fairness, care and legal compliance.
You will be responsible for managing a high volume of calls from managers, understanding the situation and offering coaching, support and advice, influencing decision making, helping to create a positive outcome for both employees and the business.
You will provide policy advice and coaching to managers via a telephone advice line, delivering an excellent customer experience by meeting KPI/SLAs including call handling and satisfaction measures.
You will be an organised, proactive, confident communicator with a passion for employee relations, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You are a good listener, able to understand situations and offer advice and guidance according to policy.
Ideally CIPD Level 3/5 qualified or studying towards, you’ll bring a pragmatic and commercial approach, balancing legal compliance with business priorities.
The ability to coach managers and build capability in people management is key, along with a flexible and self-motivated attitude.
