Our client is a well-established organisation undergoing a period of growth and change, creating the need for additional specialist support within their ER function. As they continue to build on their people-focused culture, they are seeking an Interim Policy Specialist to join their team and provide support and guidance across a broad range of employee relations matters.
As a Policy Specialist, you’ll be a trusted partner to line managers providing expert guidance that balances business needs with fairness, care and legal compliance. You will be responsible for managing a high volume of calls from managers, understanding the situation and offering coaching, support and advice, influencing decision making, helping to create a positive outcome for both employees and the business. You will provide policy advice and coaching to managers via a telephone advice line, delivering an excellent customer experience by meeting KPI/SLAs including call handling and satisfaction measures.
You will be an organised, proactive, confident communicator with a passion for employee relations, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are a good listener, able to understand situations and offer advice and guidance according to policy. You are collaborative and credible, able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Ideally CIPD Level 3/5 qualified or studying towards, you’ll bring a pragmatic and commercial approach, balancing legal compliance with business priorities. The ability to coach managers and build capability in people management is key, along with a flexible and self-motivated attitude.
