Our client is a well-established and growing organisation undergoing an exciting period of transformation. As part of this evolution, they are strengthening their People function to ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to HR support across all areas of the business.

The ER Specialist provides expert oversight of a high volume of employee relations cases, including long-term absence, disciplinary, grievance, appeals, and SARS matters. Reporting into the ER Manager, this role will provide expert guidance and practical support to managers on a wide range of complex employee relations matters. You will play a key role in ensuring cases are managed fairly and consistently, in line with company procedures and employment legislation and current changes in Employment Law.

From supporting investigations and hearings to advising on performance, absence, and capability issues, you will be a trusted partner to the business. You will be an experienced HR professional with a strong background in employee relations, capable of handling a high volume of cases. You will predominantly be supporting managers through a telephone-based advice line.

Confident, organised, and proactive, you will have excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility quickly. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines effectively, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and bring a collaborative and solutions-focused approach to your work. Retail, HR Consultancy or similar telephone-based advice line would be highly advantageous.
