ER Advisor, Field-Based – Nationwide Travel Required, £38,000 to £42,000 plus car. Travel minimum once a week within the region. Cardiff – covering South Wales Bristol, Swindon and Newport.

Our client is a well-established organisation undergoing a period of growth and change, creating the need for additional specialist support within the HR function. As they continue to build on their people-focused culture, they are seeking an experienced ER Advisor to join their team and provide expert guidance across a broad range of complex employee relations matters.

Reporting into the Senior HR Business Partner, this role will deliver a proactive and high-quality advisory service to managers across the business. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of complex HR cases, including serious conduct, capability, and employee concerns. The role involves supporting and coaching line managers through formal processes, reviewing investigation reports and communications, and ensuring best practice and compliance with current employment legislation. Some travel across UK sites will be required.

You will be an experienced HR professional with a strong background in case management and a deep understanding of UK employment law. Your communication style will be collaborative and credible, able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Ideally CIPD Level 7 qualified, you’ll bring a pragmatic and commercial approach, balancing legal compliance with business priorities. The ability to coach managers and build capability in people management is key, along with a flexible and self-motivated attitude.
