Our client is a world-leading manufacturing organisation with a global footprint and a strong reputation for engineering excellence. As part of continued investment and a drive for operational transformation, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing & Operations Director to lead a significant business area based at their UK site.

Reporting into the Industrial VP, this role will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing operations on site, leading a large, multi-functional team of around 500 people. With nine direct reports across manufacturing, supply chain, production, special processes, planning, continuous improvement, and S&OP, this role will play a critical part in driving operational efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and delivering against ambitious performance goals. There will also be direct customer engagement, requiring a commercial and customer-focused mindset.

You are a seasoned operations leader with proven experience managing teams in large-scale manufacturing environments, ideally within complex, high-spec engineering or industrial settings. With deep expertise in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement, you will combine strategic thinking with a hands-on leadership style. You are resilient, pragmatic, and able to challenge and shift mindsets across teams to embed new ways of working. Your ability to lead through change while building high-performing teams will be critical to success in this role.
