The Company
A well leading media company with a presence across the UK and online. They have offices in central London but are remote first and tend to meet up once a month or for important meetings/events. They have an established development team, due to continued growth and some exciting upcoming projects are looking for an additional Senior WordPress engineer to join the team.
The Role
- Maintain and develop new WordPress features
- Build and maintain plugins
- Work on maintaining microservices and JavaScript elements of the stack which work alongside WordPress
- Prioritise your workload and liaise with colleagues in other teams to ensure collaboration
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Extensive experience with WordPress
- Strong knowledge of Gutenberg and best practices
- Ability to create custom Gutenberg blocks
- Knowledge of PHP, HTML and CSS
- Front End development experience in JavaScript and React
- Knowledge of VCS and Git
- Ability to communicate your ways of working and collaborate with team members
