Our client is one of the world's leading hedge funds and they're looking for very technically strong Windows Desktop Engineers to join them in their London office. You’ll support hundreds of users around the world, primarily in a Windows environment, some Linux, across Exchange and Outlook, Office, M365 and Active Directory etc. You’ll have the chance to work directly with stakeholders and be the go-to point of contact for requests and incidents, as well as working closely with Engineering and Infrastructure teams for complex issues and ongoing projects. This is a high achieving, cutting edge, FinTech and trading environment where you'll have true ownership of your work, be pushed to achieve every day and can offer exceptional compensation and benefits.

Requirements:

  • Great knowledge and experience in a Microsoft environment supporting Windows, Office 365, SharePoint, Azure cloud etc
  • Strong skills with Active Directory, Group Policy, access solutions and software deployment
  • Excellent PowerShell and scripting skills
  • Strong desktop hardware knowledge
  • Linux experience would be ideal but not essential
  • A degree - Ideally Computer Science or another STEM subject
  • Excellent communication skills - A “customer facing” way of working
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
