Shopify Plus Engineer who wants to build one of the highest-performing ecommerce experiences in the market.

This is an opportunity to become the technical owner of a Shopify Plus storefront used by a large and loyal customer base.

You'll work alongside Product, Design and Engineering to build a fast, scalable and highly modular ecommerce platform where performance, user experience and code quality are treated as competitive advantages.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for developing and evolving a custom Shopify Plus storefront, creating reusable components that empower commercial teams to launch campaigns quickly without engineering support.

Key responsibilities include

  • Developing and maintaining a custom Shopify Plus theme using clean, maintainable Liquid
  • Building a library of reusable Sections and Blocks to support dynamic page creation
  • Owning Core Web Vitals and continually improving site speed and performance
  • Optimising CSS, Java Script and asset loading for exceptional customer experiences
  • Implementing Shopify Functions and Checkout UI Extensions where appropriate
  • Collaborating with backend engineers to integrate custom APIs securely and seamlessly
  • Championing accessibility (WCAG) and frontend engineering best practice
  • Participating in code reviews and helping shape engineering standards

What we're looking for

You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys building elegant ecommerce experiences and understands when simplicity is the best engineering solution with -

  • 3+ years' commercial experience developing on Shopify Plus
  • Strong expertise with Liquid, Shopify Admin API and Storefront API
  • Excellent modern CSS and Java Script skills
  • Experience with Shopify CLI, Git Hub and CI/CD workflows
  • Strong understanding of performance optimisation and Core Web Vitals
  • Experience building modular, reusable frontend architectures
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • High attention to detail and a passion for pixel-perfect implementation
