Our client is a leading (and growing!) FinTech and are looking to hire an experienced PostgreSQL database engineer.

Offering hybrid working (2 days a week) in South London, this is an initial 6 month contract, paying ~£500 – £600 per day, outside IR35.

You’ll be key in the design, implementation and support of AWS Aurora and PostgreSQL database systems.

You’ll have the chance to work across optimisation and performance tuning, security implementation, designing data extraction techniques and creating high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions – A varied role!

Requirements:

• Proven knowledge of PostgreSQL database engineering and support
• Strong experience of database optimisation and performance tuning.
• Experience of SQL Server to PostgreSQL migrations would be ideal
• Experience with infrastructure / storage design
• Knowledge of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
• Database security understanding
