Oliver Bernard are currently working with an AI-first consultancy that is helping some of the UK's most recognised organisations deploy AI solutions into real-world production environments. Following a number of recent project wins, they're looking for a Lead AI Engineer Contractor to join their growing team.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll be responsible for building and scaling enterprise AI applications, guiding engineering teams, and shaping the architecture of modern GenAI platforms.
You'll be involved in:
- Designing and deploying LLM-powered applications
- Building agentic workflows and multi-agent systems
- Developing robust RAG architectures and evaluation frameworks
- Creating scalable APIs and backend services using Python
- Working across cloud platforms to deliver secure, production-ready solutions
Required experience:
- Strong commercial experience as a Senior or Lead AI Engineer
- Proven track record delivering GenAI products into production
- Expertise with Python and modern AI frameworks
- Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI or similar tooling
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Comfortable leading technical discussions with both engineers and clients
