The Company
A market leading tech for good company with a presence across Europe. They have high-end offices in central London and usually meet up once or twice a week. They’ll be continuing to scale over the next 12 - 18 months.
The Role
- Ability to combine leadership with regular hands-on coding (can be up to 60% depending on business requirements)
- Take leadership of the cross-functional development team and inspire through sharing knowledge and mentoring
- Work closely with other teams within the business to translate and communicate development plans
- Manage a close-knit team of engineers and encourage their development through code reviews and performance coaching, whilst maintaining a positive and progressive environment
- Identify potential development bottlenecks and take ownership of the technical roadmap
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time
Requirements
- Over 3 years of management experience
- Background in leading small teams of engineers
- Strong knowledge of hands-on coding
- Experience with Ruby or React / Next.js
- Previous background in a start-up / scale-up environment
- Strong communication with ability to clearly translate development ideas
- Experience in leading, coaching and mentoring
