Our client is one of the world’s leading trading firms - A company at the cutting edge of finance, technology and quantitative analytics. In London they’re growing their Infrastructure team and are looking for an experienced, senior Linux engineer to join them.

You’ll have the chance to work on one of the largest HPC clusters in the world, write your own software, filesystems and tools as you see fit and work with some of the brightest, most creative people in technology and finance. Current projects include creation of a new, bespoke filesystem, automation of monitoring and observability systems and bare metal provisioning.

You’ll need exceptional Linux knowledge, experience of large clusters, good networking and solid programming skills. The company has a very high bar and can offer an incredible challenge for any technologist, coupled with industry-leading remuneration.

Requirements:
  • Proven, deep, Linux knowledge – Kernel-level, bare metal, large clusters
  • Excellent understanding of systems administration and engineering, networking and file systems
  • Strong automation knowledge
  • Ideally solid OO programming skills – Java, C++, Python etc
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A passion for learning and problem solving
