The Company
A market leading fin-tech with a presence across the UK and Europe. With a distributed team working fully remotely across the UK. You will be joining an established team during an exciting period of growth. You also have the chance to work fully remote or come into the office in London as much as you like.
Responsibilities
- Remain hands on collaborating closely with the Engineering Manager to be the primary technical lead for the development department.
- Lead and assist the team with code and architecture decisions and maintain high end engineering workflows.
- Reshape the platform architecture by designing scalable systems and services in order to improve performance and reliability.
- Assist in modernising legacy elements of the platform.
- Working in a PHP, JavaScript, AWS, Docker / Kubernetes environment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of commercial development experience.
- Previous experience as a Lead / Staff / Principal Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud architecture.
- Knowledge of containerisation through Kubernetes.
- Understanding of CI / CD and Helm.
- Ability to lead a development team.
- Strong communicator within a collaborative environment.
