We're hiring a Data Governance Architect for a global consumer brand that's serious about getting its data house in order. Strong engineering and analytics teams are already in place. What's missing is the governance layer, the frameworks, ownership models, quality standards, and catalogue tooling that make data trusted and usable at scale. That's where you come in.
What you'll be doing
- You'll own data governance and stewardship across key domains — defining frameworks, establishing data quality metrics, embedding ownership, and scaling catalogue tooling (Atlan, Collibra, or OpenMetadata).
- You'll work closely with engineering, analytics, and product teams to make governance something that actually happens, not just something that's written down.
What we're looking for
- You've built governance frameworks from scratch before.
- You know what good data ownership looks like and how to get a business to adopt it.
- You're hands-on with catalogue and metadata tooling, comfortable with Google Cloud, and credible in front of both technical and business stakeholders.
- Regulated industry experience (banking, pharma, insurance) is a bonus, but not a dealbreaker.
The details
- Initial contract 6–12 months with a clear path to permanent.
- Mainly remote with visits to London.
- Looking for someone who can start immediately.
