Commercial Director – Data Solutions (UK & Ireland, Hybrid)

Are you a commercially minded data expert who loves bridging the gap between technical teams and client value? Oliver Bernard are working alongside a successful Tech consultancy hiring a Commercial Director for Data to help shape and grow one of the UK & Ireland’s most exciting digital consultancies.
In this role, you’ll lead go-to-market efforts for data services; think data platforms, AI/ML, cloud analytics and work closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and Partner teams. If you love blending strategy, sales, and storytelling around the value of data… this one\’s for you.
What You’ll Be Doing :
- Helping Sales and Pre-Sales qualify and close data deals
- Shaping value propositions for data platforms, analytics, AI/ML, and cloud transformation
- Refining messaging to match industry trends and customer needs
- Driving partner collaboration with cloud providers like Azure and AWS, and data tech like Snowflake & Databricks
- Supporting revenue growth, pipeline visibility, and market positioning
- Experience selling or supporting sales in data platforms, cloud, or analytics solutions
- Strong commercial instincts with a knack for consultative selling
- Ability to engage with CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Data/AI, and business stakeholders
- Comfort navigating complex sales cycles and collaborating across delivery and tech teams
- Bonus points for experience with Azure Data Services, Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI, AWS , etc.
