Our client is a growing financial technology (FinTech) firm, based in brand-new offices central Newcastle. They build innovative, in-house, software for algo trading, investment and asset managers and banks around the world, and are growing their Application and Support Engineering team.

In a varied role you’ll be involved in client-facing support across the business, supporting complex, sophisticated, trading applications - 2nd and 3rd line support. You’ll work closely with Development, Quant and DevOps teams to build and implement improvements, manage new code deployments and drive automation.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar Application Support / Support Engineering position
  • Ability to work with demanding clients, supporting applications and delivering releases
  • FinTech, FS and / or SaaS experience
  • Coding experience to be able to fix bugs and troubleshoot
  • Experience of supporting and improving applications
  • SQL knowledge
  • Good Infrastructure (Windows, Linux, networking etc) understanding
  • Experience of monitoring and automation
  • DevOps and Cloud (Azure) knowledge is ideal
  • Excellent academic background (top university, strong A Levels etc)
