Oliver Bernard has partnered with a London-based private markets firm, and we’re hiring AI Forward Deployed Engineers to help turn our early internal AI work into scalable, production-ready capability. This is a rare blend of platform engineering and embedded delivery; you’ll spend roughly half your time building the enterprise AI infrastructure that underpins the firm, and the other half working directly with our investment and finance teams to convert their early prototypes into hardened production applications.

Responsibilities

  • Rebuilding internal prototypes into a proper enterprise‑grade AI stack – model routing, cost transparency, audit, privacy proxies, and observability.
  • Developing MCP connectors and agentic workflows across multiple systems of record.
  • Embedding with business teams to take their AI experiments and add production layers: guard rails, regulatory requirements, and engineering discipline.
  • Helping shape the platform direction – we want people who’ll challenge the current approach if they can justify a better one.

Qualifications

  • Practical, hands‑on experience with Claude and ChatGPT APIs – tool use, structured outputs, prompting techniques.
  • Strong Python and TypeScript skills; comfortable with modern cloud infrastructure.
  • A track record of shipping LLM‑powered applications that real users depend on – passion projects count.
  • Ability to sit with a senior investment professional, understand the problem, and deliver working software.
  • Finance background not required – curiosity and communication matter more.

Stack: TypeScript, Python, Claude, ChatGPT, Double Word (private inference), Brain Trust (evals/tracing), Azure, MCP.

Additional Details: The role will be Inside IR35, flexible rate for the right person, and last for 12 months.
